Protein modifications, structure & regulation
Linking post-translational modifications to protein structure and function with proteomics, modeling, and AI.
Post-translational modifications (PTMs) give cells a fast way to tune protein function. We develop computational methods that connect multi-PTM and structural proteomics data to residue-level structure and regulation:
- ProteoMeter, a pipeline that integrates multi-PTM and limited proteolysis data to reveal modification–structure coupling at the residue level (NAR Genomics and Bioinformatics, 2026).
- ProCaliper, for functional and structural analysis, visualization, and annotation of proteins (Bioinformatics Advances, 2025).
- Aggregation methods for quantifying PTM and structural changes in bottom-up proteomics (J. Proteome Research, 2026).
- How thiol modifications modulate allosteric regulation of the OpcA–G6PDH complex (Protein Science, 2026).
TODO (Song): expand with current projects, collaborators, and funding.
