We are building a collaborative, curious, and supportive team at the interface of microbiology, systems biology, and computation. Backgrounds in biology, physics, chemistry, mathematics, computer science, or engineering are all welcome. What matters most is curiosity and a willingness to learn across disciplines.

Graduate students

Prospective Ph.D. students should apply through the Baylor Biology graduate program and mention the BioJazz Lab in their application. Feel free to email Dr. Feng before applying to discuss research interests.

Postdoctoral researchers

We welcome inquiries from candidates with experience in computational modeling, systems biology, multi-omics data analysis, or microbial physiology. Please email a CV, a brief statement of research interests, and contact information for references.

Undergraduate researchers

Baylor undergraduates interested in research for credit, summer research, or an honors thesis are encouraged to get in touch. Some programming experience (e.g., Python) is helpful but not required.
